FRENCH LILAC BOUQUET PAINTING IN A ROCOCO VASE

FRENCH LILAC BOUQUET
LILACS TO ME ARE SO ROMANTIC AND THE SCENT IS SO CAPTIVATING. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER SEBASGIEN MY CAT WALKING UP TO THE LILACS TO SMELL THEM, THEY WERE THE FIRST THING HE WALKED UP TO WHEN HE WENT OUTSIDE. THESE ARE PICTURES I TOOK OF BELLA FOR MY EASTER CARDS . I  ALWAYS LIKE DESIGNING MY OWN CARDS FOR THE HOLIDAYS  SHE WOULD NOT GET IN THE BASKET OF FLOWERS BUT I STILL MANAGED TO GET SOME PICTURES TO USE.

I PAINTED THIS PICTURE AROUND EASTER TIME LAST YEAR I WANTED TO SEE IF I COULD PAINT A PIECE OF WOOD TO LOOK STAINED GLASS . WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THE PAINTING IS, IT KIND OF GLOWED AND LOOKED LIT UP EVEN IN THE EVENING .  I  HAD TO SCAN THIS PICTURE BECAUSE I DIDNT SAVE IT TO A DISK AND I SOLD THE PAINTING. - AND YOU CANT SEE  THE IRIDESCENCE  IN THE PAINTING.  I  USED METALIC, PEARL, IRIDESCENT AND SHIMMERING PAINTS. I HAD FUN DOING IT AND WILL  DO ANOTHER ONE ONE DAY - I WOULD LIKE TO FIND  A BLACK IRON METAL ARCH WALL PIECE TO ATTACH THE WOOD TO.

WISHING ALL OF YOU IN YOUR OWN CORNER OF THIS WORLD A VERY HAPPY EASTER FILLED WITH JOY.

SINCERELY JONNY

Jonny, I don't even know what to say--just amazing, and if you didn't say it, I would have thought that it WAS stained glass--just beautiful--both pieces, and your kitty too :) Hope you have a wonderful Easter!

Hi Jonny - I love lilacs as well! We are just starting to get buds on ours now. They are right outside the back door, so we can keep it open and let that luscious scent right into our house. Your kitty is BEYOND cute - she looks so adorable nestled among the lilacs. What great photos! Your final painting is so amazing - it looks JUST like stained glass!
Enjoy your holiday weekend! Theresa

Hello Jonny,
I just read your comment on my friend Lynn's (Paris Hotel Boutique) post about selling your art. I know you have tried ebay but have you tried Etsy? Really easy sight to navigate great exposure and you can redirect people to your website and blog. Perhaps you have already tried? Your work here is just lovely.
