VICTORIAN GIRL PAINTING

Today was a strange day I could not stay focused on my painting of roses, my thoughts kept drifting in and out as I was painting, its amazing that I finished it.  For me when I was younger its seemed like those were the carefree days of painting, nothing in life to worry about. For me as I have gotten older some days its harder to stay in thought, I guess  to much worrying about everything else in life can get in the way of my creative thinking and sometimes I need to figure out a way to forget about everything else in life and stay in the moment and center my thoughts. I do not remember having this problem when I was younger, my mind could stay in a train of thought for hours, painting was my great escape. Hopefully one day I will remember, how I was able to do that and get that peace of mind back again while I am painting.

I love these first few portraits here.
Amazing what you are doing with the acrylics.
All the new mediums and extenders the past few years have really helped in being able to work the paint like you can oils.
Your work is entirely amazing!!

Off to see more.

Gosh, I know what you mean about wanting to just get lost in your own thoughts. It was easier when we were younger. You're right in that we didn't have all the responsibility then. I do love it when it happens though and then suddenly I hear, "I'm hooome! What's for dinner?!" :-)

I really like your blog.
